D) Optically enlarged image path for viewfinder, accomoding full view of Super 16 frame with the ground glass markings for 16mm and Super 16mm frame size.

E) In all bayonet mount cameras the lens offsetting for Super 16 frame center is accomplished by relocating the bayonet assembly. One minute operation: Loosen four screws, shift the assembly to Super 16 position and retighten the screws. Reverse operation for 16mm frame center!

F) In turret mount cameras (RX I,II,III, 4 & RX-5) the same system is used! The change in between formats requires one minute operation: Loosen a turret clamp and shift the turret! That's it!!!

G) Or you can can have the camera completely Super or Ultra 16mm only. Nothing to shift. You can use your 3 lenses in Super 16mm position. We are the only company to offer you that service. This is the Best choice if you intend to shot super 16 only or Ultra 16 and regular 16mm.

How to Change Bayonet Mount Camera Formats

PHOTO SHOWS YOU THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN REGULAR 16MM AND SUPER 16MM

ULTRA 16MM CONVERSION

The format called "Ultra 16mm" which, unlike Super 16mm, expands both directions from the center of the frame. (Super 16mm offsets the image by expanding out to the opposite side of the frame as the sprocket hole.) Because the "Ultra 16mm" image is still centered, you only have to machine the gate and do not have to recenter the lens. Also, most all lenses for 16mm will provide enough coverage for Ultra 16mm, so the lens mount doesn't have to be changed. Best of all, for standard 16mm projection, Ultra 16mm can be printed and projected like normal. The gate will naturally crop to the standard 16mm aspect ratio with everything centered like it should be. However, if you decided to either blow up to 35mm or tranfer to HD 16:9, then you've got extra information to either side so resolution doesn't suffer when letterboxed
